well if i plug in external speakers, like desktop speakers, it also plays out both sets of speakers...

is there any way to fix that so i can listen to my music with only headphones on, or have it coming from the external speakers, and not the laptop ones??

    PLEASE HELP!!!

In normal cases, the internal jack of your laptop (or anything has a headphone plug), is the one that stops sound to the speakers when you plug your headphones, it's mechanical, a little blade is in contact with one or the other circuit depending on jack plugged or unplugged. I'm surprised you could solve this problem with a driver, because everytime I saw this kind of problem in the past it was due to a broken female jack...
