    Hi

If I take my laptop from the UK to the US, will I need a voltage converter or do I just buy a plug adapter?

Also is there a way of playing avi files from the HD without loading windows (like u can do on toshiba laptops)?

    Thanks

just specify the voltage and frequency range of your adapter, and I am sure any of our American friends can tell you if it would connect safely to their mains.

Yours is probably like mine 110-240 V and 50-60Hz.
