I just down graded to XP on my 3680, all went well excepth the Atheros Driver. I get a "Device can not start. (CODE 10)" error in device manager.
Does any one have any ideas how to correct this? I have tried re-installing the driver multiple.

    I'm having the same problem.

I got my Acer Aspire 3680, which comes with Vista and was working fine. I decided to install Windows XP because I like it more and now the internet won't work on it. I've tried installing all kinds of WLAN drivers (mostly Atheros ones), and it still won't work. I also get the Code 10 error that cf5000 gets. I've been Google'ing for hours and no luck. Help would be greatly appreciated.

edit: if it helps at all, I can get my ethernet to work, but what's the point of a notebook if it needs a wire, right?

i downgraded my aspire 3680 to win xp last nite. did you delete all partitions and NTFS format the drive. the wireless "broadcom wireless utility" could be downloaded off the acer.com website
what a difference in the performance
