    Hello Acer 8204 users,
    Could you list off all the extra bloatware that Acer installs on their 8204's (Aside from Acer software)? Do you think someone could live with it? When I started my HP for the first time, there were 20 icons on the desktop (ebay, msn, aol, etc..). I dont want that to happen again, and I don't want to have to reformat again.

    Do you know if the homemade recovery disks will work after the drives have been converted to NTFS?

    homemade recovery disks will work fter convert.
    CD burning software and Norton Antivirus i think is all they install

    Actually surprisingly little.

    I was pleased to note, they do NOT have AOL (at all) no free offers or any rubbish, it has

    1. Cyberlink DVD Player (which I don't really see as Bloatware)
    2. Norton Anti-Virus (which isn't installed, it's there ready to install)
    3. NTI CD&DVD Maker

    Other than that, it's just the Acer software (which I personally don't like much, but it's not a huge problem).
