    okay i wanna upgrade my Memory in my ACER 5102WLMI i upgraded from XP MCE 2005 to Vista Home Premium i think to me i need more Memory 1GB (894MB after video Sharage) for my applications and to go faster on my applications but im confused right now i have 2 512MB orignal that the computer has. i look in my Users Manual Up to 2GB of DDR2 533/667 MHz Memory upgradeable to 4GB using two soDIMM Modules (Dual-Channel support okay i looked at the prices of the DDR2 533/667Mhz and i notice when i run CPUz i have the 2 orignal 512 running at 266MHz can i upgrade to the 667 Mhz that i found on tigerdirect by Ultra or should and can i mix the 667Mhz with a 266Mhz for altitle bit or is this a risk? or should i look into buying a regular PC4200 running at 533Mhz or if someone wants to re explain all this i would really apperciate this i wanna buy this memory tommrow so please list me some meory i can take and what i can mix and match i really like the 667Mhz but i just wanna know if i can mix it with that 512MB running at 266MHz thanks

    If you mix it may not work (depends on CL, V, Timings) - if you are looking @ your BIOS and it is reporting 266 mhz ram that means you are running 533mhz RAM - Also if you put 677 with 533 it will only run a Max of 533 - So for optimal performance get matching sticks, otherwise check your CL cylces, V, Timings on the if they match you can upgrade one for now and do the other later

    It depends on the CAS Latency, Voltage and Timings off the current ram and compare to your models if you are adding, otherwise just buy 2 of the 677 for max performance.
