I am not sure if this had been posted before.
But, it can be downloaded here, Acer Europe - Service & Support, Drivers & Utilities, Downloads
Take note that this is BIOS v1.16(27/04/10). I know there's another BIOS v1.16(which was released much earlier).

Anyone had tried it? Any changes with it? CPU Throttle Problem fixed?

Sounds like this might fix the whole "Arcade Instant-On boots up accidentally when HOLD on the CineDash is on" issue.

Nope - but then again, that's what ThrottleStop's for. :3

Yea. I read that and I know it can fix the throttle problems long time ago. However, I just wish Acer can come out with a TRUE SOLUTION about this problem only.

Are you kidding? They're too busy with the Ethos and TimelineX models to give the Gemstone Blue a fix. ;)

Throttlestop is a true solution, probably the best.

That's the BEST SOLUTION indeed. But, ThrottleStop is a software.
My TRUE SOLUTION means a BIOS update that will fix all those problems without the need of using any softwares(like ThrottleStop).

    TehSuigi,
    True probably. LOL.

I am doing with it. I do not see major improvement, I could even say I have some problem with the display, but maybe it's just summer heating it too much. That or a bad driver

Your GPU was artifacting you mean? It's more likely you have pushed the Core too much. Lower it down to below 650MHz might help. You can pump a little Memory's MHz more. You see my Geforce 9500M GS scores about 49XX using the godly Driver(198.XX) and OC.

I haven't try Forceware 198.05 WHQL(I tested the Forceware 198.01 only). But, I can tell you Forceware 198.XX rocks! You will gain about 100++ scores from it in 3DMark06 for sure compared to your Forceware 197.45 now.

@matmat07: the 179.28 driver in your sig is very old. is that the only one that you can o/c? have you tried a newer one?

Right, I forgot about my sig, I changed the drver an I don't OC anymore, games I play doesn't require much power. But no, it was not artifact, it seemed like the driver crashed. Screen freeze for a cuple of second, then get completely black, and it comes back to normal.
