    Hello,

Two new BIOSes for Acer 7730G:

I did successful flash from v3809 to v3810, but I cannot flash to v2.3821, some error appeared while flashing.

    Does anyone have same problem?

Maybe the acer technical support can elucidate this problem.

Acer support is not helpful, They say: " Try flashing in DOS Mode". :|

Maybe tell them that DOS mode flashing is not working too, and you know at least 3 people with same problem. OK? We will see what they answer you then.

I am not sure if you your DOS Flashing Mode is the same as what I had in mind.
You have to create a DOS Boot Disk put the DOS Version Files on it then boot into the Bootdisk then flash NOT COMMAND PROMPT.

I flashed the BIOS only in DOS mode, via bootable USB flash disk. The problem is that the flash utility says that the ROM file is invalid for this board. Maybe, the acer put a wrong ROM file for the aspire 7730G.

Any news on this BIOS fix? I have a very bad overheating issue with my 7730G right after i installed windows 7 and i'm guessing that it is connected with the intel core 2 duo T5800 and old BIOS (surfed a little bit and saw owners of other laptops complaining too). BIOS update solved the problems for other manufacturers laptops, let's hope it will solve min...

    Hi zrmanja,

Still no news about fixed BIOS 2.3821. :(

What's your current BIOS version and values of temperatures?

Acer released these BIOSes for 7730G:
    3509, 3622, 3636, 3809, 3810 (newest).

You can try to update them one by one.

My current version is 3810. The temperature of the CPU is 66 (as reported by NHC) when the processor is idle. But, when i start a game it quickly rasies over 85 and then after some time the computer shuts down. A friend of mine told me that the problem could be in a overheating GPU (NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS) which is then also overheating the CPU... i will try to experiment with GPU drivers, maybe that will help.
