My BMW Acer Travelmate 8204 WLMI !! :p
I received mine about 2 weeks ago and I am in love with it!:dude: :awdance:
My machine's build date is 06/03 and it does not have much of the problems that are mentioned here.

I belive my LCD actually got brighter when I updated the BIOS to 3313. I strongly recommend updating BIOS to anyone with unsatisfying brightness.
I also installed the New driver: 8.231 (released 04/12/06) which I found at ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/note...e_8200/driver/
(It has all the Acers drivers you need! very useful! take a look!)
and my laptop is much better and faster! please click the following link if you want to see the exact number and % increased
goto http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=49206 and you will get more information!

I put BMW emblem on beautiful carbon fiber and I think it looks great!!
I was going to put Ferrari emblem I got from ebay, but the quailty of sticker was not so good(even though it said "OFFICIAL" :thumbdown )
so I just replaced it with this authentic BMW logo that was acutally designed for BMW steering wheel! :D

Also I installed NuShield today and it is absolutely wonderful! I was bit unsatisfied with my LCD because I prefer glare over matte look
because I use it mostly for entertainment purpose at home, so I love the glare finish even though some people hates it! :p

Again, those of you who are not so happy with the LCD, I suggest you download latest bios (mine is 3313) and get NuShield!
I will post the before and after picture of NuShield on my acer on future post upon request!

That screen looks great!. I wish mine looked like that. I'll take a pic to show my screen defects. ACER repair ignored my complaint regarding the screen!!?!.

Sorry to be a pain, but where did you get the new bios?.
