when you need to do a back-up check the back with a virus scanner.
Reason: just done a fresh install of XP Pro for a friend, who had backed up all his important files. after fresh install he used the back-up dvd and within 10mins the same virus was up and doing its stuff.

i used another pc to scan(avg) his back-up dvd.
only to find he was stopping auto updates of his anti-virus(nortans).
so if your having trouble with your pc and you have done a back-up after the trouble started then you could be backing up the trouble as well.

answer: scan files before you do back-up with up to date anti-virus.

virus was in an email JPG from msn :(

always back-up, but check what you are backing up
