My BackUp Image DVD is not working,it comes to 50-60% and then starts looking for DOTNET FX file and then backup proces fails because it can't find this file.
I remember installing Norton AV that I got with my lappy and it recognized this file as spyware and I removed it.After that I removed that peace of c... Norton AV and it's backup files alltogether with DOTNET FX and now I have this situation.
What can I do now,is there any help for this problem ???

looks like you need to get a hold of an original windows xp media disk. PM me for suggestions on how to acquire one.

Couple of questions, are you trying to reinstall from the DVD (complete clean install) or are you using the backup DVD to reinstall something else (where is it looking for the DOTNET FX file?) If it's looking on the C drive, that sounds like it's trying to do something other than a complete reinstall, if it's looking on the DVD and not finding it then somehow the DVD is corrupt/not complete in which case you might be asking SSX4LIFE some more questions.

Can I reinstall OS with my friend's XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 Cd (that sistem I got with my lapy) that he already has installed on his computer and then just register it with the number that I got on the bottom of my lapy after??Will that work out,I am new at reinstalling
.

Take a look at this...it might help you. It will guide you though the process of destroying .Net 1.1 so you can reinstall it correctly. .Net 1.1 (which is used in most backup software I know of) frequently fails to install correctly.

Not shure that this has anything to do with my problem,I find this NETDOT FX file in folder which contains installation file for my ATI chipset but will give it a try, thanks.
Can anybody answer my question about reinstallation with my friend's XP Cd please! -
Unlikely that your friends will work, since it's probably not an OEM version, but you can always try it (worst case scenario you have to reinstall again with an OEM version from somewhere).

How can I know for shure if it's an OEM version or it isn't without trying to reinstall (don't ask me why I can't try
).
