Well decide noth both with floppy method since i had bit time left warrenty so decide just send it in
out of curiosness how bad was you laptop no post or anything on screen?
mine is died no beeps nothing -
I had this happen to my TravelMate C300 (tabletPC)
I was reinstalling Windows, and downloaded the drivers from the ACER Site.
One of the downloads was a Bio's Flash.
I ran the Flash, and now the computer doesn’t Post/Boot.
My CD-Rom drive did powers up, and i get some lights on (indicators)
But nothing happens.
I took the computer to a local PC shop, i asked the to Remove the Cmos Battery... Wait... Then put it back in (reset the cmos). But this did not help.
I got the computer back worst then when i gave it to them. Now the PC doesn’t show Power At all.
But i just got bought a new Mainboard, it should be here soon.
Sucks i had to spend 300.00
I have my computer taken completely apart, so i am moding it.

I'm too scared to Bios flash.
I thought about it, but I also took Acer's post to heart. Which read "Do not flash unless customer service tells you to do so."
Can anyone tell me the benefits of doing so? And why the process Bios flashing seems to crash alot (from what I read)? -
Thanks, I guess I'll also be looking for the dual EEPROMs feature on my next laptop.
