Hi recently i upgraded bios on aspire 1694 wmli laptop all went fine until restart. After restart he dont start up anymore meaning screen is black seems like graphic card not starting henced dmg bios.what can i do to retrieve old bios i have no floppy is it possible to do a reset somehow? or retrieve by CD.I mean its all black cant start VGA with other screen tried it does not work.To get old bios back somehow without opening and load new bios on chip which mean a mess. Then i need to send it to ACER and that is costly so if anyone knows i would be really glad for some info tnx on forehand.. :(

You may be able to get the motherboard working again, if you install a new EEPROM. It is a small chip that stores the BIOS, and replacing that normally gets the motherboard working. However, finding one is quite difficult. You may be able to contact Acer, and they might provide a new EEPROM to yourself. Alternatively, you could look online, and possibly on ebay.
