    Battery Indicator while on AC flashes amber for a brief second ?

    what does this mean? seemed to happen just once as far as i noticed.

    Hi.

    My 5044 has also started doing this, as well as well as beeping for no reason. I do tend to leave my laptop plugged in most of the time with the power turned on (although the computer is shut down). at least once a week i let the bateery power down completely, but this problem kis worrying.

    I did try looking through acers website, but apparently they dont make thr acer 5044. and theres no way of searching for it. :(

    mines not beeping, nor has the indicator light changed for a second while plugged into AC, i will have to wait it out and see what happens i guess, if it was beeping for no reason, i would call acer and see what they say. get it serviced.

    although i really don't see what this would have to do with the battery, as if its plugged in and fully charged, it should function fine... charging should stop.

    my system is on all the time, and plugged in (this should not be an issue)
