I have recently bought a laptop Acer Aspire TimelineX 5820TG. I read the reviews and it says the standby backup is 8 hours and load backup is 6 hours.

But I only get 4 hours at most on load. The dealer said that I have to charge it 8 hours to get 8 hours backup. I am doing that, it doesnt work. Then I read the Manual and charged/discharged 3 times and still doest work. I lowered brightness disabled aero and still doest work. What should I do?

I am from bangladesh and my specs are:
    i3 2.5GHz
    512 dedicated 5470
    3 GB RAM
    320GB HDD

First, you shouldn't believe the ads specs, it's not accurate. Second, you need to download maybe hardwareinfo or batterycare to measure your battery's wear level and see if the battery is at fault. 4 hours sound right to me.

Thanks for the reply. Is timelinex only just for office work and not for entertainment ? I actually used it for entertainment purposes.

It is excellent for entertainment purposes, should be able to play most games. Doesn't claim it comes with Dolby Home Theater for nothing.
