Hi folks,
I have just purchased an acer aspire 5610 laptop and I am a little unhappy with the 2 hrs battery life (4800mAh). So is there someone who could tell me how to calibrate the battery on this model of Acer?? I have tried google but am getting nowhere!
Thank you in advance.

Calibrating won't help. But the 4800mAh's are an eight cell battery, you should be getting more than two hours.

Yeah calibrating a battery (especially a new one) won't magically add more life to it than in the beginning. It's meant to optimize it to run what it used to run, but not more.
Also, like Robert said, that 8 cell battery should run you longer. What sort of settings are you using while on battery power? -
Roger that. I have a 6 cell battery in my Vostro 1400, and I get over 2 hours easily.

It's sure that Wifi ON + maximum performance settings + CPU intensive tasks = shorter battery life than Wifi OFF + power saving mode+ light tasks

I'm getting 2 hours on full performance mode...
