    Battery problem with Acer travelmate 800

    just bought a second hand acer travelmate 800, it works when plugged in but as soon as i unplug it it switches off- and wont switch back on. the notebook manager power meter says its got 100% battery, then it will say it has 0% then sometimes 50%.

    the battery says its charging. but has been for hours now and still wont switch on when unplugged from the mains.

    anyone know what the problem may be|
