T9400 won't cut it any more... what's the best CPU available for this laptop?

    Thanks

The best is the Intel Core 2 Duo T9900. Its 3.06GHz vs your t9400's 2.53GHz. It around $330 on eBay.

    Thanks,

My T9400 is a poor SE, I got for like £70 ($110?)... need to make a worthwhile investment now so T9900 looks a good choice

Would a X9100 not be better? I mainly use for rendering video/images.

Isnt it possible to put a quad in it? Q9100 is Socket P like T9400 and quad for rendering should be better than dual. Only problem is whether the cooling is enough.

I did a quick search and nothing I found confirms that a quad will work. Your best bet is a t9900.

Quad-cores definitely don't work for the 6930G so I wouldn't count on any support for the 6935G.
