Greetings folks... im very sad, i've successfuly flashed my 4810t to bios 1.10, 1.20 and 1.22.. but yesterday i tried to get to 1.23, it installed ok in windows and restarted... now it wont go past the "press f2 to enter"... i press f2 and nothing... after a few keypresses it starts to make a sound... oh and the leafy button works here...

is there anything i can do? or i must use the warranty?

Hi, I'm stuck with the same problem too. I bought my notebook (Acer Timeline 4810T) 2 days back and I was copying all data from my external hard drive to this one.

Last night, when I rebooted the notebook after all copying was done, it just froze at the BIOS message. Nothing worked for me - tried all the keys, after a while, it just beeps when I press any key. I never upgraded/flashed the BIOS yet - no idea how this problem arised in the first place.

Is there anything that I could do to get it up and running before I try my luck at Acer support ? Any help/clues is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Could be due to Acer white listed harddrives.

can they change it with a bios update??

PS: why would they blacklist a 500gb scorpio blue.. if they ship with a 320 scorpio blue...

It probably isn't true. It might be a faulty Flash or the connection to the HDD is a bit lose.

I sent mine to the nearest Acer service outlet (its on warranty). I thought its a minor issue that could be fixed, but the technician at the service center told me that its going to take atleast 2 days to resolve the issue.

I had a similar problem with my AspireONE ZG5 when the netbook went blank on boot all of a sudden and nothing worked. After a bit of google on my desktop, I found a fix - flashing the BIOS by booting from USB thumb drive holding the BIOS image while holding Fn+Esc key.

I was thinking that there could be a similar option on Acer Timeline too - but I found no clues.

Anyways, thank you all once again - while I hope to get my notebook fixed soon :)
