I just bought a used Acer Ferrari 3400 for coffee money since it has a blank screen when trying to start it. When connected to the AC cord it starts up directly and can be shutted off by holding the power key a few seconds. The hdd and fan comes on, the caps lock and numlock leds are on, and power led is blinking orange and green. The wifi led is also lit. I am also not able to turn off caps and num lock leds using the keyboard.

I searched the net and it's probably the motherboard that is broken? I saw that a few companys fix this (on eBay) but is it "just" to replace the motherboard? Or what?

    Please help... :)

The screen problem may lie with the motherboard, or it may be caused by the GPU, which (depending on the type of graphics) could mean that the dedicated GPU is dead or the integrated GPU in the motherboard is dead. As for the keyboard problem, the keyboard might have a problem, or it may be the connection between the motherboard and the keyboard, or the motherboard has a problem.
