Hey guys. As my 5920g turns on, im stuck on post screen. Nothing works. So, i could do with knowing a blind flash tutorial for my lappy.

I went on xp and ran a crisis tool, put my bios.wph file in the crisis directory, it copied 3 files to the drive.

I then hold fn+esc while plugging in power, then i press power button.
The screen remains black, and the power button flashes along with another light at the bottom of the laptop.

Now, is this normal? Im doing it on a usb drive. Is that ok? I don't have access to a usb floppy. The fans sound like they're on. But the computer never shuts down or restarts itself, so i never know if the flash is complete. Everytime i manually start the laptop back up im still stuck on the same post screen.

Sometimes I get further with 2 beeps on the post screen with loads of IRQ errors. I can then boot from HDD or USB but it takes forever.

    Any help guys is appreciated.

The 5920G can only be recovered using an USB floppy drive - or perhaps if you have the "factory production toolkit" for your flash drive, you can use that to put the drive into floppy emulation mode. (Search for guides on how to fix fake flash drives to find the production toolkit.)

Would any USB Floppy Drive work? I looked like a right pleb with a blinking power light thinking it was doing anything :p.

Any help with the IRQ error I mentioned above. One of the ones i remember was Ethernet NIC Controller. A load of others scroll really quick. Cheers NetRoller.

Yes, any USB floppy drive will work.

The IRQ errors OTOH could be due to a faulty WiFi card.

    UPDATE

Laptop fixed and ready to go. Managed to actually get to the bios screen without it freezing. Set default configuration, ran gparted live CD, got windows on there!
