    Hello all,

The problems continue...I have tried to install XP Home on my Acer 6920g but with no success.

I made an XP disk with the sata drivers via Nlite which was recognised, installed the OS but on first boot the laptop gives me the BSOD but as it is so quick I am unable to get any error code. The laptop will not boot on safe mode either which makes me think there is a physical (hardware) issue that doesn't like XP.

Has anyone else experienced this problem...as always thanks in advance for any advice

Tap F8 repeatedly on boot, then select "Disable automatic reboot on system failure."
Post back with the stop code (0x00000000)

Until then, any answers will be mere speculation.

 I have the same blue screen of death, HP notebook continue to power on and then proceed to load Win XP and then blue screen appear quickly then powers off and restarts again. Pressed F8 continuously and disabled what you stated in your previos post, got a different blue screen of death and can now read the numbers of the error and they are:

    STOP 0x000000ED (ox83399908, ox0000006, 0x0000000, 0x000000)

It also stated: Unmountable Boot Volume

Hard drive tes also failed repeatedly.

Power outlets and battery not hot to touch, probably ok./

Attempted to reinstall WinXP with CD but will not read the disk to reinstall?

This is a HP ze2000. Any help would be appreciated.

Do not have original disks that came with notebook.

Also saw an error about media, check cable???

Just moved and disconnected all the wires, etc. but this problem was happeneing for the last 2 weeks. Supposeodly got rid of a recent virus on this computer but had it removed???

Make a new topic and I will help you. Do not hijack other people's threads. Your BSOD is not related to his BSOD. You may PM me the topic as I will likely not see it unless you do.
