    Hi all

I notice a bluetooth button on the front o my Aspire 5021, but its not flashing like the wireless button next to it.

Does the Aspire 5021 have bluetooth, and if so how do I activate / deactivate it?

    Thanks...

I don't think it does. It should say in the manual if it does. They probably use the same parts for multiple laptops, some having bluetooth. My old T41 had a wireless button, but no wireless.

you can probably check if theres bluetool in your control panel/system/device or you can press the button for bluetooth in front of the laptop. When i do that it says 'no device' as mine has no bluetooth on it.

It would of been helpful if you can reprogram the button to launch another app instead like the others can.

has anyone actually taken the thing apart to see if there's a connector onboard? there was another acer model that had the same situation (albiet, an intel one) and people were able to find an onboard connector for an add in bluetooth module

or you coud just call acer and ask them if it has the conector as i did with my acer aspire 2026.
note ;acer does not sell bt modules directly.
