Laptop will not boot into safe mode with F8, can access the bios but after that the computer hangs with a steady (non-blinking) cursor. Removing the hard drive and re-seating helped once, but the problem occurred again and this didn't work a second time. The max. HHD temp idling was 61C. I ran checkdisk that showed no errors or bad sectors.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.
