    Hey All,

Just received my Brand Spanking New Acer 5672. I have read every word in this forum, about this Notebook, before I made the plunge. Thanks a lot, GREAT INFO…
No dead pixels, no hardware problems, but, I did have a few software problems.
This is on the factory load. I will be loading XP Pro, whenever I am through playing with the stock version. I could of bought the XP Pro 5672, but I wanted the disk. Anyhow, most of the problems so far are caused from mass production operating systems. And the goofy restore image that does everything for you, all you do is hit enter. I have read where you get about 30% more performance out of any computer with a custom load.
Heck, this thing is fast, and fun right out of the box. Have a dvd+r ready when you fire it up. Unofficial time: 13 min. to burn dvd backup. Great way to test hardware….

Enjoy! I can't wait for us to get ours back...

We had to send it in to have a defective touchpad fixed... :(

I, too, installed XP Pro - very easy. All the drivers are available online.

I bet you can not wait, did the touchpad go all at once?

No... The left mouse button sort of "clicked" weird for a while, and then stopped clicking when pressed all toghether. You couldn't realy tell when you pressed the mouse button, and it was getting more and more difficult to use.
