I gave my wife this computer today for Christmas that has worked fine today. I pressed the power button when it was running so that it would go into hibernate. But now it won't turn on.

    Side Notes:
-The charge light does turn on when the ac plug is turned on.
-It doesn't matter how long i press the power button it still won't turn on or make any noises or lights whatsoever.

Thank you very much for your help on this busy night.

    Happy Holidays

you could try taking out the battery and putting it back in.

Other than that, I'd say return it and get a new one. It could be a defective unit. Happens sometimes.

    Good luck, and merry christmas!

Yeah, it's doesn't seem to work, any other ideas?

If not, I think I'm just going to take it back tomorrow, thank you anyway.

sorry bud, but i can't think of a single reason why an otherwise normal computer won't turn on. Your best bet, to also guard against future problems, would be to return this computer and exchange for a new one.
