I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5532 laptop and have had nothing but problems since getting it out of the box.

The first problem that I have experienced is when watching pretty much any kind of internet videos. Most of the ones that seem to give me trouble are at sites such as Hulu.com and other sites which carry TV programming on the internet. When watching these videos in full screen, video performance is very low and is jerky, stuttery, or produces low frame rates. It chokes even worse on HD video. Mostly HD video from YouTube. When watching HD videos here, the frame rates are out of sync and very slow and do not match up with the audio.

The second problem I have experienced is internet connection dropout when attempting to watch these internet videos. I will be watching a video and the connection keeps dropping, I get constant "buffering" messages and skipping. I watched the videos on another computer which is also wireless and have experienced no additional troubles. The trouble seems to be with this computer.

The last problem I have with this computer is getting it to read recorded DVD or CD discs. I had recently attempted to get this drive to read several recorded discs of CD+R and DVD+R but each of them has failed to read properly. The disc will keep spinning in the drive and never shows anything on it, or claims that there is no disc in the drive when there really is.

I had problems creating the eRecovery DVD's as well. when reading these created discs, it is hit or miss at best. Sometimes it works and reads correctly, sometimes it does not.

Sounds like it needs to be returned. Unless someone has a suggestion.

I get constant "buffering" whats your internet connection speed test out at? that is more of an internet speed issue. some routers dont like different wireless chipsets if it is a multiple line n g and b try just g or just n on the wireless router...
try any -r disks? Burners are picky sometimes, these dont really sound like acer problems

My internet speed using wireless tops out at about 2,530-2,600kbps. When I was having "buffering" issues, I watched the same video on another computer, also wireless and had no buffering what so ever.

The problem seems to be with (at least two so far) different brands of recordable media. The disc goes in, spins for a second, then stops. All the discs read fine in other computers.

    I've had a 5532 for a couple of months.

I've been having the same problems with watching videos. They sometimes stop in the middle and don't finish.

A big problem is the slow Internet. I have trouble opening emial on various email accounts. It just say's "Loading".

Another problem is that it won't attach a Word doc or PDF to an email most of the time.

You might want to seek help in the software section for your issues. A malfunctioning computer would not be the cause of your email attachment woes.
