    Bricked my Acer Aspire 5739G!!

    I just tried updating the BIOS and it failed!
    now i just get a black screen...
    i have heard about the FN+ESC key trick and then the power led starts flashing.
    can any1 give me the req. files so i can recover it please? :(

    If its bricked, you can't bring it back with the right files. Is it under warranty?

    Thanks, but i haven't got it working yet :(
    The LED on the mem. stick flashes for 3 seconds.. (it flashes just like this even if i turn the computer on without holding FN+ESC..)
    The power LED flashes.
    I feel that the computer does not find what it want on the mem. stick or something...

    and btw, has this notebook a Pheonix bios?

    Yes it has. it's easy to see if it has a phoenix bios. on the folder of the crisis disk search for wph extension. This will be your bios file

    I have a HP pavilion dv6809us here which says Pheonix at POST will it maybe be possible to just change the bios chip and flash?
    is every pheonix chips the same? :)
