Lookin for some help here, Ihad a bit of anaccident with my laptop last night whereby i dropped it acouple of feet onto the floor!!!
Now when I boot it up it works fine for a few minutes then freezes up and comesu with the blue screen with a message abouth having stopped the computer to save serious damage, loads more stuff and something at the bottom about a memory dump. Anyone know what will be causing this? Could it just be that the ram has came out of the slot or has been damaged?
Someone suggest that it may be an application which protects the laptop from drops and things like that. Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks
Spud

Sounds like a crashed hard drive. Since you can't run it long enough to run a disk scan, I would just purchase a new hard drive and try that.
Check that your memory is seated properly. Burn a program called Memtest+ to a CD and run a memory diagnostic. You can find it at http://www.memtest.org
