I recently dropped my acer 5315 and now the screen is broken. There are a lot of black blotches and a little color and some lines when I start up and it stays that way.
Would anybody know approximately what it would cost to replace the screen or know where I could purchase one.
How big of a job would it be to replace as I have never worked on a laptop.

    Gosef

I damage mine after a crash but luckly Acer repaired it under warranty. If it's under warranty call Acer it cost me $28.50 to shipped to them.

$21 to ship and $7.50 for $500 insurance it took about 14 days total shipping to Texas, repair and back to Florida.

Customer Service Department at (800) 816-2237

If not in warranty I would look at ebay $60-100 for a LCD.

I would talk to a computer repair person since you never done it. I can do a lot but I myself stay away from that. I was sure Acer wouldn't fix it I was shocked when they said no problem.

I am not sure what you are saying. I insure it to Acer but, I am not sure Acer insured it back to me.

I shipped it with Fedex so if they lost it or it waas damage they would at least give me something so I could replace it.

Hi, in the UK all our house contents are insured for accidental damage, if you take out the insurance that is, that includes laptops..
