What model of ACER is very good for 800$

I wouldn't mind sacrificing looks and weight for PERFORMANCE.

-Must come with Sandy Brige i5/i7
    -DDR3 1333MHz 4GB standard
    -7200RPM HDD

    Thanks all :)

Most Acers don't come with 7200rpm drives but you can replace that yourself for <$100 aftermarket.

My recommendation for a good solid machine for well under $800 is the 3820T or 4820T machine if you don't need a GPU, TG if you do. The newer 3830/4830T machines seem to be throttling right now, so unless Acer gets off their fat butts and fixes it, they're a nogo. But the older 4820/3820T machines are closing out for ~$600 so you can add that 7200RPM drive or an SSD real easy aftermarket and still hit your budget.

Well the 3820 etc are now pretty much gone. 3830/4830 won't be in US for a little while. This 5742G has an i3 CPU but very capable Nvidia GT540M and is $600 so money left over for drive upgrade. newegg has the 5742g with core i5 for $100 more.
