Hello all, I just purchased a new Acer 5100-5674 from Circuit City this past weekend. It has a AMD dual core 64 X2 TK-53 processor and it is suppose to have a 1600 Mhz Bus speed. I just got done checking the Acer "esettings" program and it only lists my bus speed as 800 Mhz, not 1600. I don't know very much about processors, dual core, etc., so forgive me for my ignorance, but was the wrong hardware put in my machine (800 instead of 1600)? or does this just mean 800 x 2 (for the dual cores??). Please let me know. I'll need to exchange it soon if the correct hardware isn't installed. BTW, I tried going through windows vista to verify/check the bus speed, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is there a place to check this in windows? Thanks in advance.

The 1600MHz speed is the hyper-transport links that are between the two cores. The 800MHz bus is for the processor to RAM communications.

Ok, so the correct stuff is installed then? BTW, thanks for the quick response.
