Buying a 4810T, but which one?

Hi gang.
Looking for help making a decision here. I'm buying above mentioned laptop, but torn between 2 versions:
1. 4810T w/ su4100 cpu & ATI Radeon 4330 & 4gb ram OR
2. 4810T w/ su9400 cpu & intel gma4500 gfx & 3gb ram & built in bluetooth(harder to come by)

I do not play PC games but do watch a fair bit of video in .avi & flash formats. I also do alot of video conversion for phones etc. I made good use of the built-in bluetooth in my last laptop. The thing is, I'm hoping to go back to 3rd level in January and would be running VMWare on this laptop to try all OS's out.
Now, is the graphics card a big step-up from the latest intel version & will the flash 10.1 update work with integrated gfx?

better go for su9400 best performance and for video decoding gma45000 is more than enough......

I've only seen the su9400 on one site for £499 or €550.
It seems very hard to come by!
If anyone else can add to this re. the graphics cards etc. I would be grateful, thanks.

 

get a real laptop acer sucks...

 

I own the 13 inch 3810 - su4100 cpu & ATI Radeon 4330 & 4gb ram Vista 7 64 bit so it must be the same.

The CPU has more then sufficient power for everyday computing meaning firefox with 5-10 windows opened, skype, antivirus, firewall and a music player running + xls or word document opened.
Win experience index is 4.0 because of the CPU. With the 4500 the win index drops to 3.4
BTW probably you are aware but keep in mind that with the ATi solution you actually get 2 cards - 4330 dedicated and Intel 4500 on board. The later one is used when you are on battery so the dedicated card does not suck power.
Anyway - i am very happy with my system and i think that regardless which one you choose you can´t go wrong.

acer after sales support is a joke and build quality is the worst even in timelines.

 

Well folks. I just found out that there is a big difference between the su4100 versus su9400. the 9400 supports Intel Virtualisation Technology. su4100 is one of a small few that do not. This makes a difference to me as I intend to use a virtual machine. Thannks for all your input so far

 

I have the 5810TZ with the su4100. I just use the free virtualbox from sun and install windows xp that way, of course the only downside is having to purchase xp. But it works well for me.

 

I have a Su 4100 which does not support VT, but OS runs like a charm, on Sun Virtual Box. I do not think this alone should be a reason for you to choose a CPU. Check various benchmarks available in this site itself and opt for what suits you better, more CPU power & less graphics or slightly reduced CPU power with better graphics support.

And frankly speaking even I was very much concerened about the lack of VT in 4100, but don't really know what difference it makes with VT for an average user like me. Not much concerned any more as my wants & needs are satisfied.
