Hi there, only recently I noticed this interesting laptop and would like to buy one just for the pleasure of owning it. But I don't see it popping up. I am wondering where you guys look for this particular model in the used market? Or if someone is thinking about upgrading and willing to sell the used one? Thanks!

I have this laptop, and cooling/noise-wise, its the best on the market with some pretty good specs (even today) considering its age.
You can upgrade quite a lot in this unit (CPU - to 2700x), RAM (which can be upgraded to 128GB), storage and wifi), except the GPU (because its soldered to the motherboard)... but Acer also made a crucial mistake by never releasing a BIOS update for the unit which would have given us the ability to install Zen 2 and Zen 3 cpu's at least (along with support for faster RAM with XMP profiles enabled) - I actually chased Acer on a few occasions for this, and even after saying 'we will look into it', they never have.

Its an excellent unit with massive upgrade potential which went largely unfulfilled due to Acer dropping BIOS development support for it (and preventing us from installing Zen 2 and Zen 3).

Anyway... there are a couple of used ones being sold on Amazon.co.uk for about £1100.

However, you might want to consider something like Acer Nitro which has Ryzen 5600H or 5800H and RTX 3060 for the same price.
The technology is newer/better, the overall efficiency and performance should be higher, and you would get better support for content creation at the moment (considering that right now professional software has very limited support for accelerating workloads on AMD gpu's).
