i have a acer aspire 5920g laptop on my C: drive i have 34 gb availeble of 60gb.
and on my d: drive 56 gb of 60 gb.

would my computer run faster if save my software on my d: drive
if i put like of the 17 gb of my C: drive on my D: drive?

and one question more acer empower technolog does not work with every software lik antivirus nod32, because it crashes or bluescreen etcc.. also with avast and avg the wifi doenst work good

so is it possible that acer software can works better withoutt errors if i save or downloaded programs on my D: drive?/

if i understand this correctly you are asking if filling the System drive with your data will slow your sytem down.
if thats the question, the answer is yes.
the more files you put onto one partition, the slower it will get.

I find it helpful to split your laptop's harddrive into two partitions. One for the OS, and one for Data. Makes it a piece of cake to wipe the OS. Of course a good backup program is EVEN BETTER :)

i do the same all important stuff is on D: and C: holds the os and anti virus and ad-aware.
i use AVG free which runs fine but ive removed all acer empowering tech junk as its just bloatware.when i did a factory reset all the stuff on D: was left well alone.
when i download new drivers i always store a copy on D: as i hate hunting them down all over again.

Well, OK, but don't get confused about what to put on a separate partition. It will not do to install utilities and applications on a separate partition. At least that's been my experience.
In other words, if you download and install GIMP or Firefox or OpenOffice, you want to install it to the same partition that Windows is on. Let's say that's C:\.
You can save music, pictures, documents, etc. to a separate partition no problem.

flashlight, something's not right with your situation. I have an Acer 5920-6470. May not be identical to yours but close. I'm running AVG without any monkey business. I did notice that Windows didn't see the internet connection until I restarted the Empowerment utility.

It can't be hard to figure out what needs to be done. I'll try to figure it out.

well i just find a solution.( after one month learing searhing and thanks to you guys there i jus unchecked almost everthing from acer empower except epower and recovery.did some tweaks.download the patch ,dowload 30days trial vista tweak software , unchecked enet and acer vcm,

turned my windows network managment onn and voila !!!
no problems now with the avast anti virus , no on and off acers wifi connection, no slow downs at start up.

no problems with software more then 5 that i downloaded.

i can play fast halo 2 games online.

its the acer empower its not working with al software .so i turned alot of it off

and when i remove norton i remove with remove tool, manuel removing of symantec

    i remover symantec core cl

but its still in services( so i disabled it)

and uninstall nti cd dvc maker its was like 40mb

Acer VCM is Voice Connection Manager. It appears to have something to do with VOIP and Bluetooth headsets, that sort of thing.
Unless that's something you do just disable it in Start-up for now.
