    Hi,

I have a strange problem. I got an old C300 which I was using for a long time as server (Linux) etc, because display is partly broken.

Hard disk started showing a lotf of I/O error and I wanted to put a new one today. But when I put an another disk, display is black and nothing happens. It does not show even BIOS.

As soon as I put a old disk everything is "OK", I see BIOS, I can boot etc...

My C300 has a smart card and it will not start booting when smart card is not inserted. I think that this security measure is also responsible for absolutely unresponsive notebook when hard disk is replaced.

    Any ideas? Links? Thanks
