    Hi all,

I've been puzzled about the inclusion of an IR Receiver on my laptop for quite some while now - and recently, I've found out it's apparently CIR, which makes me able to use a remote with my laptop. I only want to do basic functions with this (inc/dec volume, pause playing videos, skip tracks on iTunes or Winamp...) - will any standard remote do the job?

I found this one - http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/6372024/Cyberlink-Remote-Control-+-USB-Receiver/ProductReviews.html - can anyone advise whether that would be ok, or whether there's an official Acer remote I should be using?

    Thanks :)

Thank you for the reply! :)

Could you explain/link what kind of mod needs to be done, and whether it would work with iTunes, WMP, Winamp, etc..?
