    I have AMD Turion64 X2 1.6Ghz and in the begining the temperature was stable and it was 26C all the time.It would rise up to 45C-52C from time to time but this would happen once in 10 days or so.

    Now this happens almost every day,it does'nt matter do I play games or just surf the web,the temp is 44C when I power on the lappy and after a while it goes to 52C-54C!

    I took my lappy the other day to service for cleaning the vent with compressed air but nothing changed.
    What could cause this problem and is this temp critical for my CPU?? :confused:

    I think I know what your problem is. It is AMD's Cool 'n Quiet technology that is bothering you.

    First you had it running at low speeds (for surfing etc.) and it kept your temps low. But now you have it running at full speeds and that causes high temperatures.

    You can change it by going to Energy Management (via Configurations) and then change from Always on to Notebook/Laptop.

    Charlie :)

    Hi guys,thanks for posting.

    @Thief
    I am using Everest Ultimate Edition 2005

    @Notebook Solutions
    No I don't think that's it because I use my laptop at home only and it's always on power adapter so it's at full speed all the time (brightness 100%,CPU speed max).

    When I wrote this topic I just powered on my lappy and CPU temp was 44C and the fan was always on.
    I turn it off after and I powered it on just now and now CPU temp is 27C.
    I don't understand what is going on with my laptop :confused: :confused:

    I think I have some issues with my Aspire,I just run 3DMark 2005 and it freezed so I had to power it off with holding the power button.

    It was on battery power but when I run 3Dmark 2005 on AC I have no problem with it,is this normal or...??
