    Hi guys,

    I read in this thread:

    http://www.notebookreview.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2571

Can anyone confirm that we will be able to upgrade the CPU when better chips become available and how easy would it be?

    Thanks.

    Kans.

A few have already put in 3200+ chips without problem. Whenever you feel the time to replace the processor has come, it shouldn't be a problem at all. I'm waiting for a LV 3800+ with 1MB L2 cache or better personally.

    Thanks Tron,

Keep us posted, I will no doubt upgrade this at some point, because its a great machine, even in its standard guise.

OH, where can we get hold of the mobile low power CPU's?

    Thanks.

Yes, but since the Ferrari 3200 uses a low-power Mobile Athlon 64 processor (35W) I don't think its a good idea to upgrade with a regular Mobile Athlon 64 processor (62W) because of heat issues. According to the service manual its already ready for the new low-power Mobile Athlon 64 3000+ coming this fall.
