Hello there,I have this problem with my CPU speed when running on battery.
The speed switch to 800Mhz as soon as I unplug my notebook,I have Turion64 1.6Ghz.
And it doesn't matter is battery on 100% or 10%...

I was using Empowering technology-ePower but I uninstalled the hole Empowering technology because it didn't work properly.
Now in Power options I have two profiles,Max performance and Entertainment.I was able to manually change my CPU speed from 800Mhz to 1.6Ghz by switching from Entertainment to Max performance even when on battery mode
but now the speed goes to 800Mhz immediately when on battery mode and I can't change it to 1.6Ghz
I can change it from 1.6Ghz to 800Mhz when on AC although.

How can I fix this, please help. It's very frustrating...

The CPU is design to be power effecient. It switches depending on how the programs wants it.

Thanks man,CPU clock really goes to 1.6Ghz when CPU load goes over 30% and
switch to 800Mhz when CPU is idle.
Thanks for clearing that one out...
