    Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire 4730Z laptop, and want to learn whether it is possible to do any color management with the monitor. All I can find is brightness control; is there anything else that I can control, such as color or contrast?

I am interested in this, because I want to calibrate the laptop screen for use with Photoshop Elements 8.

I am eager to learn from your experience.

    Many thanks.

Hello HAC, and welcome to the forums!
I know that Windows 7 has a built-in color calibrator - simply enter Calibrate into the Start menu and click on the top entry - but if you aren't running Win7, I'm not sure what else to do.

EDIT: I just tuned mine - had to crank the gamma control all the way down to get that test to look even close to right. Might keep it, might not.
