Need help! I don't remember if the pre-installed WinXP has come with the INF of the notebook LCD that can enable higher refresh rate. I have re-installed a WinXP-Pro and couldn't find the LCD INF from Acer's FTP or website. By now I can only use 60Hz and it caused my Dscaler behave adnomral. Anyone can help? Thank you very much!![]()

Well, your panel is only rated to 60Hz....going over can seriously mess up the monitor..
You can force refresh rates though. What refresh rate are you trying to use? -
LCD screens don't have the kind of refresh rate you are referring to. On CRT monitors the frequency of the electron beam hitting the screen is rated in 60Hz and up and this determines the flickering of the image. However, LCD crystals doesn't need to be refreshed to keep their state, that's why these screens put much less stress on our eyes than CRTs.

Correct, it's called the response time and it's measured in milliseconds...

Perhaps you are better off hooking up an external CRT monitor if you need those kinds of refresh rates...
Can Aspire 1690 set LCD to 75Hz up?
