    Am I able to get it from 4gb to 8gb? If so how do I do that, and where do I purhase the RAM?

    Yes. On the back of your laptop there is a memory compartment. Newegg, amazon,ebay, microcenter.

    That seemed unecesarry Upabove. He was asking a simple question.

    I BELIEVE that the 3820tg comes with 2 2gb sticks of ram, which are easily accessible by unscrewing the memory compartment on the bottom of your machine.

    You can then buy 2 4gb sticks to replace the stock ones, to boost your computer to 8gb, if that is what you need.
