    Hello,

I bought an Acer Laptop 5672WLmi 3 months ago.

I want to leave it on 24/7 for torrents etc. and convenience.

I have a chill pad and blow a fan on the laptop 24/7.

I put the monitor screen on black [fn + F6].

Is it OK to leave my Acer Laptop on 24/7?

Thanks in advance from a newb who wants to learn.

If you really want to assure it will stay cool, pop off the bottom panels and use a chill pad that blows upwards.

Thanks for the responses AlexMagik and PRH.

I don't want to remove the bottom panels.

Alex: what do you mean by 'don't close the grids for the fan?'

    Thanks again.

don't leave your laptop on carpet or bed, but intead leave on a desk or hard places like a table, the grids for the cpu fan and ram/video card are on the bottom of the laptop, if you leave it on a carpet or bed, it will overheat for sure.
leaving on a table will be perfectly fine.
