    I read somewhere but can't see it now that the laptop crashes with 4GB total? Or should I use 2GB and 1GB sticks for total 3GB?

    you must use 2 and 1.... and the placement does matter,,, if you have the 2GB stick in the wrong slot you will continue to get BSOD errors.. so just change the cards into the opposite slots...

    but 2X 2g causes BSOD errors and will need a BIOS FIX... i odn't even know if they are working or planning on working...
    they advertise the model as a i960 so they only have to support 960 specs even if there is a 965 chip inside
