Aspire 5610 came with Vista. I did clean XP install as some software will not yet work with Vista.

I left the Acer PQSERVICE hidden partition. How do I restore Vista from this hidden partition to the factory Vista installation?

Did you make any recovery disks?

If not do this as it has worked for me on my aspire 5102.

Download and run GAG bootloader live cd. From the setting boot up the PQservive and it will run.

P.S Don't click the store on harddrive/mbr setting unless you actually want GAG bootloader to be installed. Just use it to boot PQservice.

I have made the Recovery Discs on two DVDs. Is this the only use for the hidden PQSERVICE partition?
