My Acer 5672 has Intel Core Duo T2300.
This processor has 32 arc (if I am not mistaken)
Does it mean I can install and use Vista 64 ?![]()
Thank you

No
Any specific reason/s for running Vista 64 ? -
If it is a Core Duo, then no you cannot run Vista64 or any 64bit OS on it. Only Core 2 Duo's and newer processors support both 32 & 64bit.

I want to upgrade RAM to 4GB , but everyone tells me I need Vista 64 to use all 4GB.
Only one guy told that Vista 32 does use all 4GB, but it does something special ... cuts 0.5-1GB for system purposes and it looks like Vista32 works only with 3GB.
If I really can not use 4GB , I can install 2GB*2 and use them as 3GB ( I found 2GB*2 for good price) ?

So even if you upgrade your processor to the Core 2 Duo processor, and install a 64bit OS, you are still going to have a chipset that can only address 32bits thus you will only be able to use about 3.5GB at most.
If you want to install 4GB, that is fine as long as you understand you'll only get about 3.5GB of that to use. -
If you can get 4GB cheaper or at the same price as 3GB, go for it.
Installing a 64-bit OS won't be any good for your notebook. -
Thanks Greg.
3.5GB is fine . -
Does somebody know, "CRUCIAL" is good brand?
Is $19 good price for :
4GB kit / (2GBx2) / 200-pin SODIMM / DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module / CRUCIAL ? -
3.5GB is a vague figure. You'll get anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5GB available from the 3/4GB installed. That figure varies from one notebook to another.
Crucial is a good brand, if you're buying directly from them, since their warranty/after-sales support is good.
$19 is a bargain for a 4GB kit.
Can I run Vista64 on 5672 (Intel Core Duo T2300)
