Hi, my acer aspire 2930 has intel core 2 duo processor T6500 Model. Unfortunately it doesn't support the Virtualization Technology. So does any one know, if I can upgrade my CPU with another CPUs ? Which one would be more compatible?

Thanks in advance. I want to use VMware in my laptop

    Regards,
    Rajan :)

You are probably able to upgrade to any other socket P CPU including the 1066mhz versions like the C2Q as far as I know!

    Your computer supports these processors:

    T9600 (6 MB L2 cache, 2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 35 W) or higher, or

    Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T9400/P9500 (6 MB L2 cache, 2.53 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 35 W/25 W),

    P8400/P8600 (3 MB L2 cache, 2.26/2.40 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 25 W), supporting Intel® 64 architecture.

I don't think the Core 'i' series is supported in your Laptop. I listed the best processor that you can upgrade to, something like this.
