    Can anyone play The Sims 2 on Aspire One?

    I want to buy it (AOA150-1635) but need to be able to play The Sims 2.
    Present for the GF.
    Framerates, max settings, etc would be appreciated

    Also can i upgrade the Hard drive?
    can i use notebook hard drives, like Western Digital 500gb 5400rpm?

    According to this simple Google search.....no you canno't upgrade the HDD easily or at all....

    At least, that is what I understood from the review.

    But why. It already has a 120GB HDD in it anyway....

    How more HDD space do you really need on such a small, portable lappie??

    You can if you have the A150 model. It is a bit of work as you have to dismantle the whole laptop but it's a standard 2.5" SATA drive.

    The A110 can be upgraded but it uses a PATA 1.8" drive.

    I don't think it's the size, so much as the speed that he's looking for.

    Anyway, just remember that the aspire one doesn't come with a cd/dvd drive, so you'll have to install it by using an external reader or create an .iso of the disk image.
