    ok i have a 6920g with Nvidia 9500m GS 512mb and a T9300 2.5ghz

the problem is when ime on youtube 720p videos work perfect and so did 1080p in fullscreen they both worked perfect.

but i carnt remember what i did (i think i updated the nvidia drivers to the latest drivers from there website)
ime sure the latest drivers arnt always best

but now when i try to view a video on 1080p it will stutter and not play smooth.

is there any suggestions of what i can do?
i know its not a hardware problem because it worked perfect before
and i cannot role back the driver. is there a driver is should update/downdate to

    thanks people

When you can't remember what you did wrong, it's time to bust out the System Restore to go back to when you last remember it working.

The latest drivers aren't always the best, true, but they are among the better ones for your machine. (I know a few die-hards that still rely on the old Dox-modified 186 series).
When you're watching 1080p video, open up Task Manager - if your CPU's at 100%, then your GPU isn't accelerating the video like it should. Check hardware acceleration in Flash's settings (right-click on the video) and see if that helps matters.

there is no problem watching them from a file (.mkv .avi)

its only when ime on youtube.
my CPU is on 35% when full screen (T9300)

i just tested it now and 1080p worked perfect again.

sometimes it does not work. could it be a flash player?

Could be - when was the last time you updated Flash Player? 10.1 is the only version that has GPU acceleration.

as it only when your on youtube its more than likely the stuttering was to do with your broadband connection
or youtube servers slowing because alot of people on there
the fact that you tried again later and it was fine tells me that was more than likely the problem

Chris, we've got the same Flash player version, and the Gran Turismo file works just fine at 1080p on my system.
Which Nvidia driver version are you on right now (you can find out in the Nvidia Control Panel by clicking on System Information)? I'm using 257.21 myself.

OK, so at least we know that GPU acceleration is available in your drivers. If you right-click on a YouTube video while it's playing and pick Settings, is "Enable hardware acceleration" ticked?

Not sure - only way to find out is try out one of the other mobile drivers on Nvidia's website. I'm on 257.21, try that one.

    thanks it now works.
    1080p is working on youtube.

its odd that a new driver would make things not work 100%
