Are those darker areas on a white screen normal? I got exchange my screen and it has zero backlight bleeding now, but I am not sure if this inconsistent light on white screen is under the normal limits?

Since you have made the change, you know the part number. Are there any problems like yours around the web for this particular P/N? If not, you can try again with another one.

This is the third one with the same problem, but at least this one has perfect blacks uniformity.

Well, after all of the hard work, I guess you'll be better off with a more expensive machine. What I have in mind saying this is - the newly released HP zBook with the DreamColor display. It's S-IPS matrix, with RGB LED back-light, granted that you can't get much better on desktops, let alone on laptops. It's pretty penny, but if you are after quality, that's the only option. I think you know from personal experience how the other IPS options look like. BTW, what's the P/N of your display?

I don't know if it is normal for that display, but what you showed in the pictures is very common. Expecially with florescent lighting, since they have to bounce the light around. I have even seen led ones like that. Of course better displays don't have that issue.

Btw, when I bought my TV I found out five different companies made the display panel for that one model of TV. Each one had different pros and cons, and some had more cons than pros. I had to search many stores before I found one with the panel I wanted.

I thought that it might be of that series. Maybe you could try LP156WF4 (SP)( D1). It's matte as well as eDP, and could be a better revision. It has higher brightness for sure - 400 cd/m2, compared to 300 cd/m2 for yours.
